Goalkeeper Coaching in Suffolk
Bury St Edmunds - Wednesdays 6-7pm
Kesgrave - Fridays 6-7pm
Barri has just become a coach with us at J4K and has taken on the Suffolk area.
Barri has been playing in goal from the age of seven and now aged thirty three, he has played at a competitive level for over a decade now. When Barri was fifteen he had a trial at Norwich City but unfortunately was turned away due to his height. His clubs have included Ridgeon’s League Clubs, Stowmarket Town, Long Melford, Walsham le Willows and Ryman League Clubs Bury Town and AFC Sudbury (where he was involved in five fa cup matches).
Barri decided to leave semi professional football due to the amount of travelling involved and also due to work commitments, so he has no decided to use this free time to start working with J4K and help goalkeepers develop throughout his region with his goalkeeper training.
Barri currently plays local league football for Bacton United ’89 in the SIL League Division 2 where he joined from AFC Sudbury in November 2011. In his first season at Bacton he helped them gain a third place finish after keeping 10 clean sheets in 14 unbeaten games.
Barri is hoping to pass on the knowledge he has gained during his many many years playing in goal to goalkeepers of young and old to help them to become better goalkeepers and hopefully achieve their goals and dreams, whether that be playing professionally or just to enjoy the game!
Barri also has his SFA Goalkeeper Qualification along with an FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency First Aid Certificate. He is also CRB checked
